Took parts of previous brown and blue maps to make a control pick and a compass/long legs course.Started with a control pick then ran to the next start and did a compass/long legs course. Focusing the whole thing on perfect planning and testing knee.
Really good control pick in tons of pits and contour features. Found it easy to focus as the tree cover kept off the worst of the lashing rain. The second half was in the open and everything was frozen and the puddles had 2cm of ice on them. Met office says it was -4 degrees but doubt that’s right although I went so numb that didn’t realise I have cuts all over my head until I got home. Overall pretty accurate bearings need to know which direction I’m going out before entering a control. Really good training though and knee feeling miles better.
