November Classic- Interland selection race
Bit stressed at at start cuz forgot my CDH so improvised and cut off all the blood to my arm woo. Went off at quite a pace as feeling fast and kept up for first 4 controls then legs gradually turned to jelly. Couldn’t stop falling over and gashed my knee. #1-4 pretty good nav then too far round hill for #5 so lost a min or so. #6 drifted so ended up going round whole hill maybe lost 2 mins hesitating and faffing. #7-8 good but starting to feel slower. #9 long leg but not much route choice. Laces may have come undone and had to stop to put my shoe back on:/. Lost a min or so faffing in the circle and really thrown from falling over so much. #10 bit of a mareish control way too far north and ended up in a marsh. At least I caught myself before it was too bad but at least 2 mins lost.
Not great run but positives would be felt really good at the beginning just need to work to sustain that. 2nd so hopefully good enough for interland. Don’t even know where I was on course. Moving on....

Short quick session with Tommy as have a selection race this weekend on Sunday. Did half the chiddingly loop as a warm up then a bit of skipping malarkey on the cricket pitch. 8x hill reps with a map telling tommy where I’d go on the way down. Beautiful sunset and got snazzy new lycra so really nice gentle session.

Supposed to go for a recovery run with dad but decided to do the SONIC instead. Dad said max 5k though cuz he’s knackered from the OMM so not expecting to do the full hour. Unfortunately manages to loose dad after 10 mins so spent the rest of the time wandering whether to wait or keep going. Got a few more then decided to come back cuz already done 5k. Route was ok for 30 min score though:)

Pretty good on the longer ones between 3:40-50 for 1000m and between 2:10-15 for 600m. Started to tire a little bit after 400 but still faster than I was 2 weeks ago so at least I’m improving.Feeling a bit clompy aswell. Got lost on the 150m oops.
