Monument Mile - 4:36 Such fun, enjoyed that thoroughly. Reluctantly took it out as no-one else would, but ended up running too slow the first 800, then for the second half had people to fight with and ended up getting burned in the last lap. Perhaps should have done a longer kick, always forget how long you can kick for on track. 409 - 69 809 - 72 1209 - 70 1609 - 65 So close to merking the swazmeister general

Acclimatisation on the meadows with Noah, Todge and Pedley(!) Picked up the Jack Daniels ultimate running formula on the way home. Should be in WR shape in 8 weeks
74.7km +470m Chilling out to Gullane with Dash, then he started his TT session and I clung in for about 5mins before realising it wasn't the best taper for Friday/ getting dropped. Turned round and to my horror discovered we'd been riding with a fat tailwind this whole time. Over the hill to Haddington and back, feeling a bit worse for wear by the end.

10T, 10*300(45" walk), 8T First time at Saughton. Tempos at 3:26 ish, 300s mainly 51. Feeling good and kept with Stanny, Swaz and Noah for the first 10 of their many reps. Slightly scary that this was my target pace for Friday, felt fairly swift. I'm sure the race day miracle will carry me through. Minimal taper though apart from a lazy day yesterday, just entered for a bit of fun. Spontaneous hop-in with Todge for the 8T
