Running 5:00 [3]

Day 2 of our 30 day program. Definitely too easy so thinking about upgrading to the HARD program.
5 PM

Orienteering (Terrain) 1:04:30 [3] 8.99 km (7:10 / km) +159m 6:35 / km
shoes: Scruffy Irocks

NightO on mi tod on one of my better local areas, Broadstone Warren. Really tricky especially with the bracken over my head in some places - not just me being small, it was like 7ft!! Found most of the control sites, even a 20 cm high boulder thankfully in clear forest. Compass was really good although I think I could have made more complete plans and made them whilst running, which is hard at night in terrain but hopefully it'll come. Sorry to all the Deer I woke up, ill try to be quieter next time. Inside of right ankle feeling a wee bit dodge but I guess that is probably because I've done like 40km of Orienteering this week. Hopefully a good sleep and some Arnica should get it better.

Running 10:00 [3]

Downloaded an app for Essency - Dadda, Scarlet and I totally beasted the 4 min session!! WU was longer than the actual thing?!
12 PM

Running (Trail) 7:19 [3] 1.13 km (6:28 / km) +18m 5:59 / km
shoes: Blue Roclites

Recce with the lads although more of the time was spent 'Penguin Huddling' because it was

Running race (Trail) 27:40 [3] 7.19 km (3:51 / km) +99m 3:36 / km
shoes: SPIKES

Can't remember why I wasn't going any faster, or being out of breath - guess the answer is run quicker!! Banter of 2019 so far has to go to a fellow Crawley runner who asked if Scarlet was my Dads sister:)) Neither of them sure wether they're being complemented! I just got the giggles.

Doing a wee bit of mapping for the event Tommy is putting on in a few weeks. Legs felt a tad tired, not because of the blistering pace hopefully.
Beautiful day.

Orienteering (Terrain) 48:23 [3] 9.66 km (5:01 / km) +66m 4:51 / km

Kent Night Cup in the lovely Tilgate Park. 80's, 90's score with switch over control and fun completion in J. Crickmore and Barrable. Was a bit sad when I started as I wasn't allowed to do my Driving Theory for the second time this morning - totally my fault, but everyone went off really fast from the start so went nuts and was in the front at the switch over. Johnny then left me in a bramble patch after #85 so in the dark for the rest. It was a really clear night and the stars looked absolutely amazing.

Orienteering (Terran) 58:17 [3] 10.83 km (5:23 / km) +78m 5:12 / km
shoes: Scruffy Irocks

Lovely blue on Ash Ranges although no smoke grenades this time:( I wasn't really in racing mode, probably a combination of Emit and not having much competition except Dad, so ambled round taking in the views and finding control tapes but not the controls?? New Moscow was real smooth but unfortunately Christmas socks gave me blisters.

Orienteering (Terrain) 20:56 [3] 4.02 km (5:13 / km) +50m 4:54 / km
shoes: Scruffy Irocks

Collecting 3 really really cold controls.
7 PM

Running (Track) 21:37 [3] 4.51 km (4:47 / km)
shoes: Blue Roclites

Absolutely knaked after 1:30 drive home although Dad probably more shaken than I am:) Short sesh because of Sussex XC this Saturday - 5x800m with 90 secs recovery. Off the back of the front doing 3:20m/km. Felt tired but not heavy. Blisters a wee bit painful

Monday Dec 31, 2018 #

Running (Trail) 45:00 [3] 6.5 km (6:55 / km) +200m 6:00 / km
shoes: SPIKES

Hills session in Lubly Crawley. Mixed bag of intervals with some sprints and some 4 min reps. Felt pretty awesome as chest didn't give me any jip, at last. Didn't stall once driving home:) First 5 mins WU and last 15 WD.
