Great open tall grass fields with hidden boulders, catcus. Cold weather
Felted good for first half, struggled with full speed (chest cold day 5). Finished 1st on Short. Last day at SW.

Cholla Chaser - handicapped GOAT based on age and gender. Mass start - needed 4 box controls ( M 14-15) in addition to mandatory 6 mcontrols . Felt my navigation was best in a few days, slow running (chest cold day4), but pretty happy. Finished 14/53

So I have had much better days orienteering - running with a chest cold (day3) and really struggled to keep any sort of pace or focus. Missed #5 and ended up on wrong side of map. Let my frustration and disappointment take over. Learned a lot from the route study.

Wow! So desert O is hard! Struggling with a pretty rough chest cold and having a hard time breathing at pace. Pretty good off the start, but got lost #7. Navigated to a parallel trail that was way north. GPS watch read 3.7 miles by the time I was done.
