Oh dear.

One of the scrappiest runs I've had in a while. 1 fine, although I ended up practically on top of the control before I saw the flag. Stuck in impenetrable gorse (where map read semi-open with wide veg hatchings) on the way to 2. Lost 2 minutes on 4 because I didn't know where I was on the spur; ended up far too high and bouncing off the car park, from which I couldn't even manage to pick up the path down to the control. Then sloppy through the rest of the course, easily distracted, having the odd spurt which more often than not led to a mistake/headless chicken, and generally feeling sluggish the rest of the time.

I usually love middle races, but I think I'd rather forget about this one. Disappointed with both the time and the result.

Chest feeling a bit tight first thing so wanted to make sure I got in a really good warmup.

Feeling strong and positive at the start after last weekends runs at the BOK Blast and ready to give this a good go. But it just wasn't to be, legs felt heavy from the start and I didn't seem to be able to find any pace, so ended up procrastinating by reading the map when I didn't really need to. One mistake of about 25s but otherwise just a very slow run. Polar opposite to how I was feeling in Bath last weekend.

British Sprint B Final

Feeling a bit better (but still not great) running-wise, but sloppier on the navigation. 2x20s mistakes, both easily avoidable. Focus was a bit better but with mistakes it wasn't really any better than the morning's run.
