I kept it nice and short because my knee was feeling a bit twingy after my long run on Saturday and yesterday. It did start to feel better as I ran, but I want to play it safe and keep myself from actually getting injured.

2x 2 minute 30 second plank, 100 single leg lifts each side, 5 minutes of heel raises (who needs to be able to walk on the first day of school??), 10 minutes of arms

Note

Today was a really fun day. I was kinda nervous going into it because I didn't know anything about it, but after running seeing what it was like, I really enjoyed it. Definitely want to do it next year if I can.

Also, I'm going to miss my daily stretching today (dang, I was doing so well keeping up with that goal) because I'm going to be late getting back home and I need to sleep

Wow this was fun and also really different. It took me a while to get into the map and to do what was necessary. By the end it was getting a little bit easier (still not easy).
I'm going to try to post my map but it's going to be a struggle to actually get my route on it properly.

Classic length. Definitely better than the first one but still pretty slow. I'm really enjoying it though!

Really fun night maze-o.

I got to skip 5 controls because of my low placement going into it which was nice, especially when I got to the third to last control, still had two skips, and got to run up the straight edge to get to the finish while my mom, who was with me at that control, still had to go to the last two because she had used her skips.

I didn't have a good headlamp which made it a bit more difficult because I had to be really close to a control before I could see it, and a lot of the time I couldn't tell if dead ends were dead ends or actual trails. It was nice when I was with other people who had better headlamps :)

It was a really nice morning--finally not ridiculously hot--and it was good to get out for a while to enjoy it.
I don't think my watch got the speed right because there were points where it said 10:30 miles which we all agreed did not seem right.
