Latvia Race #5
Race of 2 halves. Going class at the beginning running hard and navving well. Then slipped up at #7 misreading the paths losing 2mins. Was maybe 25/30mins in and started losing concentration so went to water point on way to 8 to give myself a lil break. Then got caught by a girl who started 1 min behind me on way to 9 and we both messed it up trying to race each other. Then awful to 11, knew where i was as well but the green was just throwing me because it wasn’t mapped well so kept getting confused instead of just going with the contours. Then just messing up all the way to the end tbf. Worst was 14 where i went within 50m of my control but found another and then was like crap i’m in completely the wrong place, ran down the hill, realised i was right and had to crawl back up the hill again lols.

Didn’t go well. Properly analysed half of it but no point stressing now it’s done so just one to forget! On to the next. Need to focus!!

Latvia Race #3
Was running hard but just not in the right direction so was binning 30/60/90s on more or less every control. Then ran past #5 without seeing it and binned 6mins.

also chat w Rona n lots of things to try do better tomorrow!! excited to improve hopefully and can be a bit more in the race. Actually finished 3rd but +10 mins or somet haha, everyone found it tough except the winner. yeah

Latvia Race #2 - gooddddd
After the rain the cobbles were soaked so was a bit sketchy on the corners killing the pace (was always going sub 5s on the straights). Felt a lot better today and no mistakes other than a 10s loss on one route at the end. Happy.

Also me and megan had a deal that she’d do well if i did so had some big expectations haha but it worked for her middle race wooo. Took the W to bring up my part of the deal ;)

was pretty chill before the start and did a decent warm up and legs felt good considering i’ve spent the last 3 days travelling. But then...

Latvia Race #1.
Actually really annoyed because the open courses have no start times so meant i stood and queued for 20+ minutes after my warm up so by the time i started my heart rate wasn’t up at all and took the beginning of the course to warm up again. Then in the final box the woman holding my map wasn’t looking and was talking so after i punched the start she wouldn’t let go and it ended up with me yanking it out of her hand along with all the other maps in the slot and sprinting off like a raging idiot. So then f**cked number one and went in the wrong direction. Then just did shit the whole way round not being that arsed and messed up 3,6,9. Just kept forgetting to plan ahead because wasn’t in the zone at all and mind was just wandering. Lol. Worst race all season. Just was so flustered at the start and then not moving at the end.

On the plus side only finished 3rd so not as far back as i should’ve been for this run - +36s so actually think this week should be good if i get it right. Hopefully can do better tomorrow. Made about 90s of mistakes at least.
