Hike/Trekking 3:00:32 [3] 7.0 mi (25:47 / mi)
shoes: Topo Terraventure

Adventure Underground with Nicki.

We moved really well on the trek, both navving together equally and nailing the first two waypoints well. From there, we shot a bearing that was just a bit too far south and missed all of the swamps and ended up finding the road - we moved way too fast for our own good and got too far too fast. Nice correction though to backtrack in and find the needle in the haystack.
10 AM

Mountain Bike 4:01:24 [3] 25.3 mi (9:32 / mi)

Bike section. Warmed up nicely and we took off well. I was feeling great, cruising and flying up the hills for the first few hours up to the top of the lookout tower, where we caught Bruce and Jeff. We ran into Derek and Brian on the way back down, so all three teams were together in the same area for a good bit. I got pretty dehydrated on the way to stone tower, and Nicki did a great job leading the way through the single track while I tried to get my head and stomach sorted out.
2 PM

Paddle 2:43:46 [3] 11.3 mi (14:30 / mi)

Beautiful paddle down the Lehigh to the dam where the day began. Brian and Derek decided to wait for the everyone, so we had a fun time sticking together for the first 2 hours as we navigated the rapids, portaged the waterfall, and watched a certain aluminum canoe capsize. Finished with a crazy headwind into the reservoir. Really impressed with how well the two of us moved through the gusts, pulling away from the other two boats over the last 5km.

Awesome day! Great time racing with Nicki again, and loads of fun having a low-stress event with everyone.

Run (Trail Run) 1:37:55 [3] 10.46 mi (9:22 / mi)
shoes: New Balance Vazee Summitt Trai

Long run at Cheslen. Perfect weather in upper 50s. Got myself out of school on time, so I made the most of this. My legs were a little sore throughout on the uphills.

shoes: Topo Terraventure

Run at Cheslen. Trails are pretty dry, and it was a beautiful day with a little chill in the air. Felt good during the run.

Mountain Bike 1:03:25 [3] 13.41 mi (4:44 / mi)

Busy day but the weather was great, so this was all I could squeeze in. Rode from home to Harmony Hill, did a shortened loop and then right back home.
