Fun second day at the Ottawa O fest - long.

Started after some mis-communication on the busing to "Parking lot 19". Map on both sides and an segment / 9 controls across a river/highway.Worst leg was 12 -> 13 where I (and a handful of others) apparently weren't on the trail we thought (or lost it) and ended up near a very pronounced boulder.Spent much too much time before I caught sight of a pond and said - pond - I shouldn't be near a pond - and realized where I was...

Other error was on #1 - I was within 10-20 meters of the control and didn't see it and spent 3-4 minutes circling around until I saw it in the bushes.

Finished well, and given the chase format, I did not allow anyone behind me to get close. Split's aren't up, I'll look to comment more later on those and the two day totals.

Interesting to see it confirm what I knew.

On leaving 13, I somehow made the error of heading downhill on the current wide spur and tossed around back and forth. Interestingly, my correction worked very well - I said - I'm too far from that highway, no matter where I am, If I head NW, I'll get close and can then figure out what's going on. As it was, the control was just about exactly NW from where I was when I decided that.

Can also see what I did at 16, off to the right (which was mentioned by at least one other person).

No injuries, but my left calf was tight and sore, must have jolted it on one of the rock traversals, of which half the course was...-)
