Orienteering race 20:18 [5] 2.8 km (7:15 / km) +50m 6:39 / km
shoes: New Balance 479 - V4

Sprint Nationals at GVP, red, M35+.

Slight error to 7, veering left (pulled by someone else before I figured it out).

Long route 16-17 on path, forest was probably run-able, but I thought it was only a few steps out of the way.

A few steps to the right of line towards 18.

Site shows I was long to 14, but I don't see or recall any hesitation or navigation errors, I think that was fatigue after the long bridge crossing.

Felt good about it. Last in M35+, but silver in US qualifieds, not the slowest Red course;-)

Morning Run (pavement) 25:00 [2] 2.0 mi (12:30 / mi)
shoes: Vibram Treksport

Started on a planned longer run, and after about a mile ove to the first park felt tightness in left hamstring. Stopped to stretch it, and thought it was ok. restarted and it was actual pain. Dropped through "ok, go shorter" to "ok walk home", and did that. So this is about a mile at an esy pace, and then a walk home.

By the time I was home it seemed to have been worked out, but still lingering soreness.

My hope is ti was more like a cramp than anything else...

Realized that I couldn't watch the McQuaid Invitational in GVP. Bummer.
