Was supposed to be meeting Ewan but he’s a silly boy and missed his alarm so solo it was. Anyway, lovely sunrise on the hill so really there can’t be too many complaints. A good warm up to spending 4 hours marshalling - chilly stuff.

Towpath sesh - 10,5,10,5 (3mins after the 10s, 2 after 5)
Sesh today cos of 2nds-4ths varsity tomorrow. Wasn’t massively hyped with the impending headwind but a great group out today.
The way out was decent but had to work hard into the wind on the way back. Only dropped from 3:12s to 3:15s for the 10mins into the wind and kept 3:08s for the final mile so pretty good all things considered.

Doing a Friday session instead of Saturday so was told to do some quicker stuff today before an easy tomorrow. Ended up with a 5 mile steady at 3:55s around Grantchester.
Not the sort of thing to be doing pre-brekky but felt okay after a while - was absolutely fine holding that pace and felt chill afterwards.

Really good fun sesh in an excellent group of six today. Longer reps were a little cagey but the pace was decent and then worked well with Ian for the shorter reps. The man has got some pace.
