SLR - Avon, north face, beecraigs. Had to diffuse a standoff between 4 very tense cows and myself. Involved a long walk round. Then got absolutely drenched for the last 20 minutes. Eventful stuff.

went for the school mile race again, this time on the towpath instead of the leisure centre loop.
Had to keep reminding myself how short it was and to keep pushing. All fine on the first 800m out but then approaching the turn I had to go a bit further as there was some guys on bikes. Then had to overtake them and many others on the way back which slowed me down but the time is still decent.
Forgot how much a 180 degree turn takes it out of you. Still, a decent effort and loved wearing the hyperions, reminds me why I love them so much

Parkley craigs golf course combo but cut a bit short because part of the canal is closed. All hard surface and the shin was 0 for the most part and 0.5 at points which is great.

Lovely new route from muiravonside over to cockleroy. Hadn't been on some of it for probably close to a decade so was great to get over some new tracks/terrain.

First proper full length intervals in a while. Got a school virtual mile race at the moment so did the first rep as a mile in 5:11 so slightly shorter recovery then I chilled a bit on the second rep - picked the pace up after that.
Felt decent but was very muggy - sweat levels were borderline illegal. Still, a great one in the bag.

Well that was interesting. Set out for a 2 hour easy round Torpichen and down to Grangemouth then headed up the hill between Linlithgow and Bo’ness.
Going along and something flew into my mouth, turned out to be a bee or a wasp- tried to spit it out but as it was exiting it stung me on the inside of my lip.
Properly sore when it happened so I stopped. Decided to head home and in the next 10 minutes the sting properly swole up became massive! Made it home and honestly I looked like kylie Jenner. Weird because it stayed big for only about an hour and is now completely back to normal.
So yeah, that was a first for me. At least I’m not allergic and at least it didn’t get my tongue!
