To quote the legendary lightning McQueen, "I am speed".

Nah not really this was made so slow by a disgusting 30mph+ southern wind which made me go backwards up some of the big hills and meant I was barely breaching 15kmph on the flat at some points - filth. Nearly got blown off my bike by crosswinds but we survived.
Climb out of Bathgate was a bit grim but enjoyed coming home downhill with the wind behind me :)

Well would you look at that we went for a run. Just a lap of rosemount but I’d say there was a 1/10 pain, but obvs was taking extreme caution with my steps. Feels more sore on gradients and slopes. No running tomorrow then we’ll see how we go after that until Turkey

We’re back! Nice spin out linking reverse standburn to West Lothian golf course. Windy. All good apart from having to stop early on for an emergency scalp itching sesh.
Have been advised to try a 5-10 minute flat jog tomorrow, which is very exciting. Looking forward to getting some good cycling training in before Turkey and feeling refreshed after an enforced break.
Also if any of you are interested my bag is still lost- this is now day #10. Top tip: if your bag ever goes missing just tell them it has life saving medication you need to take daily in it - they’ll care about you much more. Speaking from experience...
