WLR - set off and it was proper pissing it down but just thought well it'll pass can't be torrential the whole time. Well. Long story short: it was. Got pure drenched and some very cold fingers but was actually running well and felt completely fine and not tired at the end which was nice, even if my clothes weighed about 5kg through water

Botched intervals. Went into lecture theatre for usual pre-ints toilet trip and had a pretty hefty nosebleed for some reason. Spent a bit clearing it up then set off on 3x8 sesh. But still felt like I had a lot of snot and blood in my mouth so was feeling bad then it started pishing and I was severely underdressed so just started to get really cold. Ah well. I know when I'm beaten. Wasn't happening today :(

Big Weekend Arthur’s Seat mass start
Took a naughty W to #1 then caned it with Davros and Nathan round to #5. Lost a bit of time to Nathan on the phi loop but got ahead of david then faffed a bit on #15 which was a rather disgusting crag. Descended like a complete granny as usual so got caught by Julien here.
We were together round the next loop but made a wee mistake so were caught by the pesky davina at #24. Grinded back onto whinny hill and even caught a glimpse of Nathan about 200m ahead. Was alright through these controls but again lost seconds the downhill so david caught me again and Julien got a bit ahead.
Was pretty creamcrackered for the last few so came in for a fourth finisher which should be bumped to third. A very fast and enjoyable race so cheers to the lads for that. Felt like I was pushing really well and moving quick for most of it which shows the fitness is there :)

Big Weekend Urban - Morningside.
Managed to not struggle too badly to find #1 on the map then was all good through basically all of it except a faff at #18 and missing the new control location at #20.
Had a pretty short (30 sec) stop at the road crossing then was fine through the sprint on Pollok. Nice to get 3rd. Lots of time to plan ahead so was basically just about executing controls.

Night O @ Dale Park
Have to say that I’m not usually the biggest fan of night O but this was throughly enjoyable. Super technical, hilly and tricky but made easier by having Jim’s anti aircraft search light on my head. Saw lots of people throughout and only big time loss was at the end where about 10 of us couldn’t find a crag :)

2 remarkable things happened on this run.

1. A squirrel fell over 5m and landed about a metre in front of me on the pavement. It then just ran away as if nothing happened.
2. I saw a Ryanair flight abort a landing coming into the airport.

From my perspective it was not very exciting apart from a stiff knee

Finally some progress. All headaches/shivering/hot and cold swings have gone. yay. Still have a blocked nose though and although coughing is improving I'm still producing some outstanding coughs. Not sure when I'll first run but hopefully soon

Eek. Not got any better unfortunately since last update. Coughing is bad if not worse and I’m struggling to sleep. Sinuses still blocked and now have a temperature. Back to the GP tomorrow. In the meantime we just do maths revision and go for walks to get some fresh air cos if I spend a whole day inside I go slightly insane
