Woke up, looked out the window and saw
a) complete darkness (which is normal)
b) driving rain
c) howling wind

So I didn't go for my normal morning run and instead went on the X trainer and watched Shrek 2

Good week- pleased with how it’s gone

Running 1:36:48 [3] 19.15 km (5:03 / km)

Big long one round Avon- North Face -Witches Craig- Loch. Enjoy the sporadic mixture of pissing rain and glorious sunshine and saw a noice rainbow.
Took a gel at 11.5k and finished feeling really good and fresh, dropping a 3.55 18th km split.

A wet progression.
Plan was 9km with first km at 4:15s dropping 5secs each k down to 3:35s
Splits were 4.15, 4.00,4.13, 3.49,4.06, 3.56, 3.41, 3.41,3.37
So yeah, this needs work, but did feel decent and a wee bit of an explore as well so not all bad

Relay training 3 loops on Cambus O May with the lads. Messed up on the first loop big style with the gaffling and had much longer so was playing catch up to the lads. Great pack running at the end. My laces came undone.

Norty one on the seat with flurry and matt. Went up whinny hill, seat then me and flurry did the crash which was sick. Wanted a bit more so went to Calton Hill as well before some filthy bus dodging. And we saw a film set

Meadows BOF TT.
Set off with the bois then from 1k-2.5k was stuck in a very isolated position just behind AT and TLines and just ahead of Flurry and David.
Their overtake was inevitable so yeah lost the pack race but was in the pack and a decent time considering turns, dogs and fat people

Felt good apart from a dire need for the toilet. Nice and undulating and nice to be running in the light.

Also as I am writing this on the train home a guy just asked me if I went to hogwarts. ffs great

Took this pretty much as a proper race, which was nice. Few wee scraps here and there, as well as a richter scale fall down a very steep grass bank towards the end. Enjoyed myself tho and didn't have to wait for Dad after finishing cos he ran Blue
