Run / Hike 27:00 [3] 1.31 mi (20:37 / mi)
slept:7.0 weight:110.4lbs

Walked to & from the rec center, with a lap around the arboretum on the way home.

Strength / Stretching 1:00:00 [3]

Yoga class at the rec center.

Note

I've been advised to try the gratitude thing -- ~three per day.

Catching up from last week:

7/31: My parents are both still alive. I have a great yoga instructor at the local rec center. My patio flowers are looking great.

7/30: Seeing cute Abert squirrels in the woods. Having great o-maps / terrain like Manitou Park. Enjoying a good Belgian sour beer.

7/29: Wet pine forest smell. Having a fun night-o course. Having a free & nice place to crash / not having to camp in the rain or pay $$$ for a hotel room.

Orienteering race (Red course) 1:20:59 [3] 4.73 mi (17:07 / mi) +554ft 15:25 / mi
slept:5.0 shoes: Salomon Speedcross (2014)

Red course at Manitou Park. Very fun, but again with dumb mistakes near the end (#16 smallish, #17 bigger), when I was thinking about being finished and not concentrating like I should... :-P The splits graph shows that I lost two spots at the end, by about three minutes. Argh! But I was happy to finish #7 out of 19 (ahead of John, Sharon & Sverre, which is rare).

Orienteering race (Long Night-O) 1:15:59 [3] 3.7 mi (20:32 / mi) +505ft 18:11 / mi
slept:8.0 weight:111.4lbs shoes: Salomon Speedcross (2014)

Long Night-O course, starting out in light rain. I felt like I was doing pretty well (except for a mistake at #2), but then I totally blew it (wandering and wasting lots of time) at #9, the second to last control. If not for that mistake, I think I could have finished ahead of Doug & Sverre.

- Jogged a short distance to warm up.
