Cycling 1:07:19 [3] 8.23 mi (8:11 / mi) +413ft 7:48 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Safire

Two full loops at Hidden Mesa, plus several loops on the rocky portion. I was finally able to ride up one of the rocks that has been my nemesis; I did it successfully three out of five times, and didn't hurt myself too badly the other two times... Now there's only one rock left to conquer in the counter-clockwise direction.

We had fantastic 65-degree weather -- but a big blizzard is supposedly moving in tomorrow night. Ugh.

(Total time = 2:02:27, moving time = 1:07:19)

Orienteering race (Red course) 1:49:50 [3] 6.72 mi (16:21 / mi) +879ft 14:33 / mi
slept:4.0 weight:125.8lbs shoes: Adidas Supernova Riot

Oof -- this was long. And I was only one position away from being "DFL". Judging by the splits graph, I made up that one position on the final, long leg to #12 (1.25 miles).

This was basically just a long Orange. Many controls were next to trails or visible from 100+ meters away. BCLP is so open, there's not much available for a technical course. Cherry Creek, Chatfield, and BCLP make up my trio of least-favorite RMOC maps.

On the plus-side: I got to hear an amazing bird song, I saw a collection of turtles sunning on a log, I saw an apparent gang war between two factions of geese (dive bombing each other, chasing each other, honking loudly & continuously, etc.), and I got to eat a delicious Danish pastry.

· One-mile jog to warm up.

· Hill repeats x 10 (at Louisville Rec Center trail).

· One-mile jog / walk to cool down

Perfect, sunshine-y, warm, non-windy conditions!

slept:8.0

I couldn't motivate myself to go to Spring Training in the "frozen mix" conditions. Stayed at work 'til 10pm instead, after an RMOC board meeting. Ugh.
