Orienteering (Forrest) race 12:12 [4] ** 2.5 km (4:53 / km) +50m 4:26 / km

JK Relays
M/W40- 2.5km at TD3 so a pretty easy runout. Worked pretty hard to try and catch up some teams. Think I brought us up from 5th to 2nd. Only three seconds behind David who was the winner of the leg and a couple of minutes in front of the French runner whos team won overall. Good Fun.

Orienteering (Forrest) race 39:37 [5] *** 6.7 km (5:55 / km) +100m 5:30 / km

JK Long
First half was pretty solid. Running pretty quick and no techincal mess-ups apart from #6 where I made a stupid parralel error. about 30secs lost. Second half was just really scrappy. #8, I was really hesitant and was to early. About 10secs lost. #9,was just being lazy and not making sure I was exactly where the controll was and looking futher out into the open than I should have been. aroud 20secs lost. #12 really short leg and wasnt thinking about distance and overshot the controll by about 50m. Didnt realise very quickly and was hesitant going back for it. About 45secs lost. #13, just lost contact with the map completly as I realised I was going to be really slow. Didnt make a mistake just really hesitant. Around 30secs lost. #14, wrong crossing point. went to the lowwer onewich involved more height gain and and more off path running whilst not being much shorter. Another 30secs lost.

7th today and 4th English. Proably wouldnt have been happy with fourth beforehand but considering what happend its not to bad. Well done Frank. Relays tommorow wich should be good.

JK Day 2 - Middle
Pretty Decent with a few mistakes: Messed up on #2. went to the clearing just to the north of the control, about 20secs lost; Bad route choice to #3 where I should have just gone straight instead of going out to the path another 20secs lost; on #11 should have had a clear plan rather than just winging it, didnt really lose contact just wasnt very quick about 10secs; and on #13 didnt have a clear plan again and sort of mushed both routes together and lost about 20secs. Other than that it was prety technicaly solid apart from a few very minor hesitatons. Time felt pretty good when I finished and was pretty suprised to be about a minuite down on the lead. Need to nail it tommorow to have a chance of winning it overall.

Jk Sprint/ Day 1
Nightmare. Was going really well up until number 6 wich i just didnt see on the map and went straight to seven. Proably gained about 20secs but on the run in I went back to the final controll and punched it again as i thought it hadent registered so lost about 20 secs there. Running speed waa pretty good and techincaly i was solid.

Annoying cus I might have won and beat most of the 16s even though I havent done many sprints lately so I should do better tommorow.
