Up mastermind and carried on up a bit beyond Creagan Riabhach. Then a long slog downhill to the Pass of Ballater road and cut up through the forest to get onto the Craigdarroch paths. Up one side and down the other, then back to the car along the cinder trail. Trying quite hard up both climbs, feeling reasonably hill fit at the moment but still quite achy and sore by the end, and on the downhills.

Haven't written much about it but for the last year have had a really odd, uncomfortable feeling in the L ankle/top of foot/toes, and it's the reason I haven't been doing much cycling as it's the worst when I'm on the bike. First time i felt it was mid-way through a cycle last year, very random. Not so much a pain, just very uncomfortable. Has never properly gone away, even with a complete 4 months break from cycling last summer, so don't think it has anything to do with cycling. Has flared up worse a few times and has been especially bad since the JK, just a constant feeling of strain/numbness in my outside toes and a cracky ankle. Even when walking my foot placement feels all wrong and some nights haven't been able to get to sleep because of the feeling. Seen two physios but nothing has really come from it, went to the GP last week and she says to see a podiatrist. Done plenty of googling but not finding anything, maybe a trapped nerve? Not sure how much cycling i'll be doing on my cycling holiday to Majorca next week....:( Rather depressing just as my knee seems to be okay ish
