Grandtully O training with scotjos. Such a good wee area, and courses planned well that you didn’t notice the climb too much. Shadowed two courses first and then did a course myself. Wasn’t going to do the mass start relay sim as my knee was a bit niggly, but decided to do the medium as no point driving all that way and not doing some sort of quality O. Glad i did cos knee felt better going fast and nav felt clean (apart from the only control i hadn’t been to already lol)

Coast and back with Arianne, fair put me through my paces! Flying out towards north berwick but then the most minging, and inevitable, head wind back to edi. Tried to zigzag our way back but was still such a fat grind. Felt i was keeping up fine until i majorly bonked with 10km left getting back into the city. Dropped off her wheel on the dual carriageway which was rather bad timing. Definitely one of the hardest cycles i’ve done but v good training & good fun

Big push up the landy track up the side of Culblean from redburn onto the plateau and down the single track into cambus along side Crannach hill. Lots of snow at the top which made the downhill even more fun!

Happy new years! The first part of our 'triathalon' - Into Banchory, Strachan and Glen Dye with the worst gusting head winds! Then over shooting greens to potties and back.
