(in pennan this weekend for the boat festival) Not many run options as didn’t have the car and the cows are literally everywhere, even on the footpath. Also wanted to stay on the flat after the race last night but that’s not really possible up here. Ended up braving the cows to get to the few empty fields and just mooched about there for a bit. Good views from the cliffs. Swim in the harbour for midsummer after.

Glen dye contour only (inc wu&wd) - the best area of glen dye by a long way, so much fun. Nav felt really good, flowing in and out of controls and picking nice lines in the contours. Loved it so much might go and do it again as a terrain run.

Pressendye, standard way up and down. This weather is completely unacceptable for june. Felt like a really really cold windy winters day up top. Sheltered for my life in the sheep pen thing at the top whilst kirsty took her instagrams then quickly headed down.
Needed a rest today after doing a lot yesterday. Surfed for about 1h30 in the morning, broke a fin so called it quits and went for a walk to get ice cream.

Cornhill games Knock hill race - Basically just ran 5km out on the road to the hill, went up and down, then back on the road. Nasty head wind out so tucked in behind this man for a bit but didn’t really help lol. Thought i was the only girl running until a lady passed me about 1km from the hill, put in some effort to keep up but i was feeling pretty knackered from a fast start. She pulled some time on the hill which got me worried so i went for it on the descent and overtook her quickly, she was literally walking down.Slipped and cut my knee and got covered in mud in the process. Felt much better on the way back up the road and stretched the gap to at least 3 minutes. Finished feeling strong and ready for my complementary cup of tea and £80.
Light events - 400m and 800m, 1st out of two in both (just me and kirsty, apparently they never get girls doing the field events so we though we might as well to get a bit of extra cash). Even made a fool of ourselves and did the long jump. £35 plus the hill race prize made for a very successful day!
