Trail Run 15:00 [1] 1.38 mi (10:52 / mi)

Orienteering 49:18 [4] 5.27 mi (9:21 / mi)
ahr:171 max:184

Red course at Cherry Creek, 7.9 km straightline. I wasn't sure how hard I'd be able to run given the Achilles problems, but it felt fine on the warmup, even tried some pickups to be sure. I was able to go what I thought was threshold pace fine, but the HR was clearly level 4, but I wasn't breathing that hard. Anyway, made it around the course fine and it was super fun as always. Nice to get out away from Greeley to do some training.

Orienteering 46:00 [1] 2.53 mi (18:11 / mi)

Control pickup of the southern most loop. Had to wait for someone to finish the loop first. I watched them majorly blow 2 controls, but then they headed off. Only then I was convinced they weren't going to circle back and I could begin to pick them up. Just hiked for the pickup -- had to be a bit careful with the Achilles, it wasn't perfect after the run, but I only felt pain a couple of times when uneven ground put strain on it. I'm going to be sore tomorrow, not just the Achilles.

Road Bike 1:00:00 [1] 14.41 mi (4:10 / mi)

From Funplex to dog park to 'burbs, and back.

Thursday Apr 14 #

Hike 20:00 [1] 2.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

to/from campus

Wednesday Apr 13 #

Road Bike 43:00 [1] 10.51 mi (4:05 / mi)

Was pretty sore from yesterday, left ham in particular. Achilles wasn't great, but I think it was as good as could be expected - its been much worse, so I can't complain. Bundled up as it was about 40F and high winds. PLC to Kodak and back. A women asked me if I've seen her lost little white dog, I hadn't.

Trail Run 59:00 [1] 5.3 mi (11:08 / mi)

If I'm going to get through some orienteering races, I need to get some real runs in. My Achilles felt really good today, so I thought it could handle an hour easy, and it did fine. High winds, which is the norm for this spring. Ran at redbarn.

Monday Apr 11 #

Roller Ski Classic 1:01:00 [1] 9.22 mi (6:37 / mi)

Island grove to dog park and back. Pretty nice day, little wind, it'd looked like crappy weather to the west, but fortunately it never came to Greeley.

Sunday Apr 10 #

Hike 40:00 [1] 3.0 mi (13:20 / mi)

Fieldwork plus a short hike at Devils Backbone, time distance estimate.
