Orienteering 58:46 [3] 4.49 mi (13:05 / mi)

Rainbow Fall, red course, 6.1km straight line. Signed up for blue, but was glad to have the option of just doing red. Its been a while since I've O'ed, and I was a bit concerned about the Achilles. It was a bit sore to squeeze, but it felt fine on the warm up. Ran quite conservative and felt rusty in the first few controls. Going to 4 I couldn't connect the map to the terrain and went to the wrong hill/spur with a pit, was quite good from there until going to 14, where I completely blanked were I was after someone asked me what course I was on (they were clearly lost). I ignored them, but it was enough to break my concentration. Fortunately, I quickly recovered. At the start/finish I was told to continue onto blue it was going to be another 5-6 km, given I'd already ran 7km, I didn't feel up to making it the rest of the way. Probably lost 30sec in making the decision. An OK run, fun to get out and was relieved when my Achilles was not painful at all.

Trail Run 15:00 [1]

warmup

Cyclo-X 1:11:00 [1] 16.95 mi (4:11 / mi)

Down to the east end of the Poudre trail, which was closed at the dog park, then over to the end of the Sheep's Draw trail (saw some kids smoking pot in a car), then on the fox run trail (1st time on that), then back on 20th. Felt pretty weary. Could be the long run yesterday, plus the intervals the day before, with the heat today (upper 80s during ride). I think my Achilles will be OK to O tomorrow, seemed to be pain free today (but I did not test it running).

Trail Run 1:15:00 [1] 6.89 mi (10:53 / mi)

At Devils Backbone. It was Scotland weather all day, but by the time I ran, it was scattered clouds and no rain. Nice to run there, its been a while. No pain with Achilles and ran pretty much a normal stride (but tried to keep the heel down on the ups). Towards the end the left hip flexer start to hurt. After the run the hip and the Achilles were hurting pretty good, worried I over did it.

Trail Run 27:00 [4] 4.24 mi (6:22 / mi)

Running club. 3x9min, short rest. Felt good, could run pretty much normally and no pain, a slight tightness from time to time. I'll see tomorrow if I over did it. Paces were 6:35, 29, 07. On the last one felt as my fitness was the limiting factor.

Road Run 1:01:00 [1] 6.53 mi (9:20 / mi)

Let myself run a little more naturally, but not totally back to a normal stride, but no problems with the way I ran.
