Orienteering 58:37 [3] 8.5 km (6:54 / km)

Peaceful Valley O. Map I've never run on before. It is a nice map with good topography detail and some rocky areas, but not too much. Ran well, it is in fact at a pretty good elevation at 7000', which I figured out before I looked at a topo map based on how I felt as I ran. Because it was an unseen map previously, took it a bit easy with the speed, the elevation helped with that too. Turned out to be a good idea as it was hot and the course was challenging enough. Handful of small bobbles in close to a few controls but not worth mentioning, but did have one error, 3-4, went too far east and ended up at 5, but quickly figured out the problem. On control retrieval made pretty much the same error even with knowing how I messed up (and ran it slower than in the race). Anyway, a fun day with quality orienteering.

Parked at Red Barn, went out 15min in either direction. While I was getting ready to leave this knuckle head in the row of cars ahead of me backed into my car as he backed out of his slot, left a nice scratch. All I gave him after he applogized was an exasperated "don't worry about." Its not worth the time to pursue it any further than that.

Running club. 4x6 min. Felt pretty good. Mile times were 5:50, 50, 50, 47. Was going to do a long cool down as I got there a little late so pretty much no warmup, but my stomach did the clenching thing it does from time to time, accompanied by a small refund, which put an end to the cooldown.
