GAOC O-meet at Ft. Yargo State Park. Most of the course was about a Yellow course level. Much of the woods is really crappy and there are lots of ATB trails, so it was lots of trail running. Still a lot of fun though. A little chilly standing around, probaby only 50 F at the start, but beautiful fall weather and great for running.

The big disappointment was that control number 2 was never hung. So after running directly to the correct spot, I spent 12 min searching for a control that wasn't there. It was one of the few controls that wasn't less than 15m off a trail so I didn't expect it was hijacked, stolen, moved, etc by some other park user. Oh well.

Sosebee Bike ride. Went witht the A-group again. About eight of us were dropped about 10 miles into the ride, so we rode together to the rest break.
That was a good group speed. We meet up with the faster group at the rest beark and started out a one big group again. I was feeling pretty tired at this point and got dropped again after about 5 mile. So the last hour I was on my own. Since I had no idea where I was and what the route back was I stopped 5-6 times to consult the map app on my phone. It actually was pretty nice riding, just annoying that the phone app map was a bit difficult to read and I had to stop to get it out of my pocket and consult every 10-15 minutes.

Anyway, after about 5-6 week of not riding here I'm starting to get my legs back. Hoping next week goes even better. But I think with the cooler weather the folks at the front of the pack have picked up the speed a bit. Or maybe I'm just better in the hot weather than many of the other riders.

Running at the river. Included the hill near the beginning. Went pretty well. A goodly number of ATB riders the second half, so I spent some time dodging bikes.
