Long run around the river then random streets through Dalkeith and Nedlands and finishing through KP where I joined in with the pancake run for a little bit. Must have been near the back of the field because at first I thought it must be an event for women and prams only. Heel a little sore but didn't really get worse and felt pretty reasonable overall. Better than I expected after the late harder run yesterday.

10x1min hard, 1min easy around the top of KP in the evening after spending the morning with Liam at tennis. Struggled a bit to get going but started to feel a lot better on the third effort when I got onto a hard surface for a gentle uphill. Felt quite strong for the rest of the session so was glad I did get out there.

Easy run around KP, staying largely on hard surfaces for a change. A little sore around the left Achilles again but not bad and otherwise felt pretty good.

Pump with CC. CC is going to be away next week so was showing her substitute the ropes. The sub joined in with the class and I got the impression she was struggling more than the rest of us who have all been doing it pretty consistently for at least 6 months.
Left achilles was a little sore jogging to the gym, just a reminder that it isn't completely better yet.

GA's 5/8 surge course. Felt reasonably good today. Didn't push the surges too hard but tried to keep the recoveries pretty solid. Getting a bit tired by the end but felt as though I was holding form better than a couple of weeks ago. I was initially predicting a time in the mid 41 range and by the end was hoping it would be under 41 so was quite pleased to see 40:22.
