Tried running in the frees for the first time in ages, partly because I happened to be wearing them when Rachel sent me out, partly curious to see how it felt compared to the Triumphs and I thought it wasn't a bad idea to stir things up a bit before seeing the physio tomorrow morning. Turns out it wasn't great, a little sore early on and got worse as I went so I cut it a bit short. Definitely feeling it more around under the outside of the ankle than at the heel but started to spread to other parts of the foot later on. Legs and guts feeling pretty bad too so not the most enjoyable run.

Ran around Herdsman Lake while the kids played squash. Wasn't really sure how far it was around and thought I might not have time so decided I should just go out for 5k and back the same way to be safe. Just before I got to the 5k mark the path seemed to turn South and it felt as though I was about half way around so I couldn't convince myself to turn around. As soon as I had committed to going on I started to pick up the pace because I wasn't really sure where the path went and was worried it might be further than I thought. Stuck to the outer path because I didn't want to risk getting stuck on a dead end path into the middle of the lake. Ended up being only just over 10k for the loop so didn't really need to push the pace. Felt pretty good, heel/ankle was just a little bit sore all the way.

Pump with CC. Didn't find this as much of a struggle as I thought it would be after going to bed near midnight after tennis.
