Cycling long 1:43:36 [3] 42.62 km (24.7 kph) +170m

River loop. Keep thinking I should try to increase the length of these rides but I really don't think I can find the motivation to go any longer than this. First hour was pleasant enough, after that I just wanted it to be over.

A bit of a trudge to begin with but got going better in the second half. Foot pretty sore early but gradually eased off rather than getting worse.

Woke up this morning to find dirt all over the bed. Looked up to see a hole in the ceiling about the size of a cat's paw over our bed. I remember hearing a crack in the middle of the night and then noticing the bed seemed sandy but had no idea what it was at the time. Pretty sure it was Sky, she was outside when I headed out for my run and she spends a lot of time in the roof.

Pump with CC. Getting up for this after a late night playing tennis is tough but feels worthwhile. Just walked there and back.

Little jog in KP, trying to keep it pretty flat. Not very sore and only down the outside of the foot, from ankle to mid-foot.

Pennants vs Cottesloe (Harrison).
Top of the table clash, with Cottesloe one point behind us going into this, so expected a tough night. Won the first two sets 6-2 6-1 with Doug. Had a bit of a run in with the fence at one point. Running back to try to chase down a lob I knew I was going to hit the fence so I stuck my left hand out to stop myself while trying to hit a backhand basically on the fence. I hadn't realised the fence changed at that point to a hip high fence on the same line and a higher fence about half a metre further back so my hip hit the lower fence and I pivoted over it until my head hit the upright pole on the bend.
Mark and Ian had a tight battle on the other court, winning the first 7-6 (10-8) and losing the second 4-6.
I then played with Mark and won a tight set 6-4, securing the break on a sudden death point at 5-4 to take the set while Doug and Ian had an easy 6-1 win. Final rotation was comfortable with Ian and I winning 6-2 while Mark and Doug won 6-0 for a 7-1 win overall to give us a nice cushion at the top.

Gym 1:30:00 [2]
weight:72.2kg

Walked around Rosalie Park and did a few drills and strides then walked and jogged to the gym for the usual functional circuit with Brody. Just me again this week and she made me work a bit harder than usual which was good.
