Putting out the controls near tracks.

Orienteering 22:00 [2] 1.9 km (11:35 / km)
shoes: Puma Faas 250 Trail

Following Liam around the VE. He was running pretty fast but had a bit of trouble on a couple of legs and I pulled him up pretty quickly rather than letting him run the wrong way. Won by 5 minutes.
10 AM

Orienteering 1:20:08 intensity: (20:08 @1) + (1:00:00 @4) 9.96 km (8:03 / km) +223m 7:14 / km
shoes: Puma Faas 250 Trail

Following Steve around the H2 at Malmalling. Thought I would need to cut a lot of corners to keep up but I only had a master map with all controls and had never seen the courses so I had to keep asking Steve which control was next and try to keep up. Took a few more direct route choices at times to give myself a chance but still had to work hard to keep up a lot of the time. Fortunately he did give me a couple of decent rests to recover.
Steve definitely needs to be a lot more certain of the final details coming into the control (probably the whole leg actually) and particularly recognising what is the most important feature to use as a reference point.
I quite enjoyed having a reason to push myself a bit harder. Thanks Steve.

shoes: Puma Faas 250 Trail

Putting out controls at Malmalling. Spent about half an hour on one of them and still not convinced I got it right. I think the map could be better there.

Running 1:05:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Free 3.0 V4

Ye Olde lap of KP after work with Ivan. First time in about 3 years I think. Didn't feel too bad, a bit tight in the chest on the uphill bits but didn't have any trouble keeping up and the legs generally felt pretty good. Time includes running to work, back to work after lunch and home after run.
