Event: Yetar Spring

11 AM

Orienteering 52:02 [3] ** 6.73 km (7:44 / km) +184m 6:48 / km
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 212

Followed Graham around the H3 at Yetar Spring.
Pace was pretty solid and I found it a bit hard to keep up at times but Graham kept choosing the thicker and rockier paths to give me a chance to catch up without him having to wait for me. Thanks Graham.
I might add some more thoughts later.

Easy run around KP. Beautiful morning with lots of wildflowers and wildlife. Felt quite good but once I went beyond 30 minutes it became clear that I haven't fully recovered from the marathon yet. Hamstrings started to feel fatigued at 30 minutes and within 10 minutes my left hammy, right hip and left calf were all hurting. Still sped up on the downhill run home and felt good apart from the sore bits.

Running race 15 [5] 0.1 km (2:30 / km)
shoes: Nike Free 3.0

Liam thought he could beat me. He was wrong (he did 33).

Running 28:08 [3] 5.7 km (4:56 / km)
shoes: Nike Free Run

Almost didn't go out this morning as my heart didn't allow me much sleep last night. It was still playing up as I walked out to the street but as soon as I started running it was fine.
Ventured across the road into KP for the first time since the marathon and ran a reasonable pace rather than just jogging. Still a little discomfort (not pain) around the right achilles but apart from that felt reasonably good.
Saw Terry heading up to Hale oval for some intervals and briefly thought of following him but that would have been foolish and I'm no fool.

Running 20:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Free Run

A couple of laps around Rosalie Park. Achilles a bit sore for the first 10 minutes again but not as bad as yesterday. Calves didn't get sore at that time but I did start to feel tired so I stopped and did some drills before jogging home.

Running 16:30 [2]

A couple of laps around the lake at a slightly faster jog than last time. Right achilles sore from the first step to about the 10 minute mark when both calves took over.
