Bald head run starting out with Rachel and Rob. Managed to hang onto Rachel for about 13 minutes before I cracked then walked the hills and jogged most of the rest. Stopped at the top of the last steep drop and watched Rachel run the final bit to the end of the track in the distance so I wouldn't have to climb back up the steep bit. Got a bit hungry half way back and struggled a bit walking up the last climb but felt pretty good after the downhill run to the finish. Heart not good and also kept me awake most of last night after Liam and Amy took turns waking me up earlier.

Decided yesterday to attempt a bit of tempo today doing 2x8min with a 4min jog. Heart was bad overnight and in the morning so I really didn't feel like going for a run but I find it difficult to back out of a planned session and I thought it might fix me up so I headed out anyway.
Felt tired from the beginning so I extended the warm up a bit but it didn't help. Heart rate seeming fairly normal for the first half of each effort before going a bit erratic and high as the pace dropped in the second half. Walked most of the recovery and checked my pulse manually which confirmed a skipped beat every 3 or 4 beats even when the heart rate was dropping right down.
Shouldn't have gone through with the session. Will try to be more willing to give up in future. Might try to stick to just running faster when I feel like it rather than trying to plan any harder sessions.

Wasn't going to run today but in the afternoon I really wanted to so I did. Felt heaps better from the start and had no trouble keeping up with Rachel's easy jog, even ran ahead at times because I felt like going faster. Still struggled on the steeper hills with the heart playing up briefly a few times. Enjoyed this run but can't believe how slow it was.

Very slow jog around Lake Seppings with some drills and strides at the end. Started out with Rachel, Rob and Damien but didn't keep up for long. Noticed every hill around the lake, bet nobody else did. Felt good doing the drills and strides despite the spongy grass. Heart dodgy on the walk home.
