Warm up for Gunapin Badge event. Heart rate seemed a little high for the first 10 minutes then I tried to clear my throat which set the tachycardia off. Doesn't really show on the heart rate monitor but it did go to 168 strolling to the start after aborting the warm up.

Heart settled for a few minutes before the start so I thought I might as well give it a try. Took it easy from the start and got to 1 without problems but the tachycardia kicked in again approaching 2. Continued on mostly jogging with just short walks through 3 and 4 and most of the way to 5 not feeling all that bad but with my heart rate alarm (set at my normal maximum) beeping constantly. Eventually gave in and walked a big stretch approaching 5 and decided I should stop at the map change. Wandered over to 6 then looked at 7 and thought "why the hell would I want to go up there if I'm not going to finish anyway". Stopped and walked/jogged directly to the map change to pick up the other map then back to the finish.
Getting really sick of this, hope that is the last time I have to put up with it.
Hard to believe I was only 62 seconds off the lead at 6.

Easy 10k loop with a few drills at O'Connor Rd and some strides at Moola Rd on the way back. Feeling pretty good by the end but the left achilles heel is still bothering me a bit. Not getting as fat as I thought, I was sure I would be over 70kg by now.

From Caltex to Strettle Reserve where I did a rough approximation of Rachel's session for today, two moderate efforts of about 6:30 and two harder efforts of about 4:00. Feeling a bit tired and left heel getting a bit sore again on the warm down.
