Running 40:00 [2]
shoes: Nike Free Run

Heart was good all day yesterday and still ok when I got up so I thought I'd try an easy half hour in KP. Got to the 15 minute mark before my heart played up so then I had to keep running to make it back in time to take Liam to XC training. Jogged over to the school with Liam and did a couple of laps and a few drills with the kids. Not feeling too good for the next couple of hours but seems ok now. Didn't feel too bad most of the time while running.

Orienteering 20:20 [1] * 1.7 km (11:58 / km)
shoes: Nike Free Run

VE course with Liam. Liam had the map all the way but would only look at it when I asked him to and probably would have gone the wrong way a couple of times if I didn't ask him the right questions. Much faster than the last couple of courses I have done with him, cross country training appears to be paying off. Tried to persuade him to start his run for home a bit earlier but without success. He obviously had the energy for it as he sprinted from the finish to the caravan racing a group of other kids that we caught at the finish only to download and find out someone else had beaten him by 10 seconds.
Dizzy spells and chest pain after finishing made me glad I didn't try anything harder.

Running 25:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (5:00 @2) + (5:00 @3) + (5:00 @5)
shoes: Nike Free 3.0

Ran over to the school for cross country training with Liam on his bike. We got there for 7:30 but nobody was there. Saw Nick running past on his way to work so I stopped him and he told me it starts at 8am on Wednesday.
Did a lap of Rosalie park to pass the time, mostly pretty slow but one very fast stretch down the hill to the tennis courts.
Joined in with the kids doing 12 reps up and down the grass bank between the lower and upper ovals. Got beaten by about half the kids but they were doing it in pairs as a relay doing 6 reps each. Did a set of 4 strides on the flat after the hills to finish off. Heart was mostly ok until I finished but started to feel really bad as soon as I stopped and had to walk most of the way home. Still feeling pretty bad now, about 1.5 hours later.

Note

Ablation has been rescheduled to the 13th of June.

Note

Rang the hospital today and was told I am currently booked in for an ablation on the 1st of August. Still hoping Paul can find a way to get me in earlier but it is probably just as likely to be delayed.

Note

Went for a walk over to KP with Liam on his bike. Heart had been good all day but went into AFib waiting for the green light to cross into KP.
On the way home I jogged a little down the hill along Onslow Rd past Rosalie Park which felt good but I had some pretty bad dizzy spells when I stopped at the IGA. Had to lean on the checkout for a while to avoid falling over just after paying.
Checked the ECG when I got home and found the heart rate was mostly around 150 with shorter periods below 60. The dizzy spells seemed to be happening while it was over 150 but certainly not all the time it was up there.
Only lasted a couple of hours but had more short periods of AFib overnight and in the morning.

Note

Heart fine all day yesterday and today. Longest run of NSR since before Easter I think. Almost tempted to try a run tomorrow. Almost.

Thursday May 3, 2012 #

Note

AFib from 3pm until midnight or thereabouts, back in NSR when I woke up anyway.

Wednesday May 2, 2012 #

Note

AFib stopped for an hour or so when I stayed in bed while Rachel was out running but started again as soon as I got up. Wishing I had just stayed in bed now.
