Went to the gym after kids went to bed thinking I would try to squeeze in a hard half an hour on the bike but one bike was out of order and the other was being used so I ended up spending about an hour lifting random weights before getting onto the bike for about 20 minutes. Tried to work fairly hard on the bike, mostly 200-230W and peaking at about 280W near the end. Got the heart rate up to 163 which is higher than I would ever get it on a real bike. Also did 5 minutes on the rower and 6 minutes on the weird elliptical thingy.
Did my rehab stuff after getting home, hoping to cool down, but I'm still sweating now at midnight.

A couple of laps of KP going up Lovekin and down May so that it wouldn't be too hard to stay seated. Saw Dan Hewitt heading into the park at the start and saw Meilin and Bec running up the broadwalk. Couldn't see Josh with them.

Pump class with Elena (CC is away for a few weeks). Seemed a bit easier than the usual class but not too different. Included a bit of cardio with some skipping that I probably should have skipped but I skipped instead of skipping the skipping.

Out and back to Tawarri a couple of times. Right hip seizing up and generally getting sick of sitting on the bike after about 25 minutes but convinced myself to keep going a bit longer.

Left foot sore just behind little toe when carrying my bike up the stairs at work.

25 minutes on the bike, 5 on the rower and some random weights. Trying to avoid bending the legs much on the rower and when I did go a bit far it got a little achy around the outside of the left ankle.

Noticed last week that CC's pump class was back on the gym timetable so thought I'd better get back into it. Arrived about 15 minutes early and did a warm up on the bike, then Rosalie turned up and told me it had only started up again last week after a lot of lobbying from her. Just did half the usual weights today to try to ease back into it but there were quite a few push ups (about 40-50 I think) so still expect to be sore tomorrow. Enough to have my arms shaking while trying to get myself breakfast afterwards.

shoes: Saucony Triumph ISO 2 Blue

At least 5 min walk, 3k slow jog on flat firm surface, another 5min walk.
A little bit of pain wandering around the heel for the first 10-12 minutes, then pain free for the rest. Real test will be how it feels at 5am tomorrow morning.
