orienteering 3:23:27 [2] *** 15.5 km (13:08 / km)
30c

Control hanging and water schlepping at Pine Grove and Hammonds Rocks. Fantastic day. Erie with the gunshots of hunters all around. I was a running orange nylon sack of potatoes. Discovered that my third "window" had been clearcut in the past couple of weeks. 3 controls in there. A terrace I was using had been wiped off the face of the earth. Remarkably, the other two streamers were still there and in the correct locations! One was so pathetic I left it there with the control on a 20cm high sapling that was sheared off at the top. It was the only "living" thing left in the entire clearcut. Its a crying shame. Two of the nicest areas of the entire map were clearcut. There's still plenty of nice stuff out there though.

trail run 1:30:22 [3] 19.0 km (4:45 / km)

Up Roland Ave to Lee park, then trail by the lake, through the rat-hole in the fence, up the runoff chanel to the Ruxton Rd exit and back. Found an awesomely big leaf and ran 4 miles back with it. Very warm and windy ahead of the front. Left ankle started to hurt (on top of foot) after 1:15. I rolled it mildly twice in the long-O on Sunday. Its sore now. Distance a guess for now. Lots of climb.
