My first bush event for the season, and my navigation was terrible. Hopefully I have disposed of all of my mistakes for a while.
I only realised why about 2/3rds of the way around the course. I had assumed that the scale for a middle distance race was 1:10000, but it was actually 1:7500. Apparently it was on the handout sheet, but one wasn't provided to our car, and strangely there was no mention of this irregular scale at registration or the pre-start.

I was running quite well, but often too far. I couldn't seem to be able to interpret the mapping, as my distance estimates were out.

I will need to prepare a bit better for the races next week.
