Orienteering 33:48 [1] *** 3.1 km (10:54 / km)
22c weight:120lbs shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

Drove out to Live Oaks with Mike and Alex today. Overall the terrain was pretty flat, but at the same time wet and muddy. There was also lots of thin ice with water underneath, that sucked to step on.

I mis-punched, made me really mad at myself because I remember punching it, but I'm not gonna blame it on anything, it was probably because I saw Eric Porter so I sped up and forgot to punch it. (he started like 7 minutes before me, and I did pass him though, so I guess there's a bright side.

Orienteering 35:08 [4] *** 2.5 mi (14:03 / mi)
6c weight:120lbs shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

Drove out to Live Oaks with Mike and Alex today. Overall the terrain was pretty flat, but at the same time wet and muddy. There was also lots of thin ice with water underneath, that sucked to step on.

After failing on yellow Mathew was talking about how Green was pretty easy today, so I decided I'd try to try to redeem myself for earlier. Also it was only 4.5km straight line and I figured I could run most of that... Well I regretted that, I started of strong, going great right? Well not so much from #4 to 5 was very difficult for me, I spent what felt like an hour trying every way possible to get there from 4. I could not find it, and since I started the course rather late I decided to go back so that they didn't have to wait for me to clean up course, so I ended up finding control number 67 or 18 on yellow and just went east back to finish picking up 21 and 22 on the way back. It was pretty disappointing. It definitely gave me some more respect for the high schoolers though.

Control Pickup/Course Setting/Course Checking 30:00 [1] *** 3.5 km (8:34 / km)
10c weight:120lbs shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

Just helping with control pickup after this horrible day (orienteering wise, besides that it was actually a pretty good day) I grabbed 10 controls, 4 around the school the start, clear, and check and also 44 41 and 32, 3 pretty close ones.

Note
weight:120lbs

Don't think I'll comment on either of those courses. I forgot to do it immediately and have somewhat forgotten. Overall let's just say it was a rough day.

Gym Class 55:00 [1] 1.0 km (55:00 / km)
weight:120lbs shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

Played Kamikaze Kickball, I was team captain for our team and we won like 47-23 or something. They should've had less but Mr. Gulley (gym teacher) gave quite a few calls to them.

Weights 1:00:00 [1] 0.0 mi
weight:120lbs shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

Just winter percussion using base drum mallets, they weigh like 2lbs each and theres 2 of them. Used system of half time at practice for actually using them.

Gym Class 50:00 [3] 2.0 km (25:00 / km)
weight:120lbs shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

Played some scrappy basketball with friends, it was Hayden and Morgan vs. Braydon and I. I am honestly surprised they came as close as they did in score, they only lost by like 28-22.
Anyways I scored maybe 12 of those points, mostly by cutting across court and a fake to dribble for lay-up, worked almost every time lol.

weight:120lbs (rest day)

Just recovering from cut on leg and knee, I feel much better now.

Orienteering Practice 41:15 [1] *** 2.8 km (14:44 / km)
14c weight:120lbs (injured) shoes: Green and Red Nikes 11.5

When to the Mounds, we all did a yellow course, we had to memorize a sentence and a word or two was at each control. The sentence turned out to say, "I heard a gigantic monster crashing in the trees and thought it must be a BIGFOOT! Then I saw that it was really only... GUY OLSEN!!!"
Overall I got third losing to Nate and Noah, surprisingly I beat Alex and Luke.

Note
weight:120lbs (injured)

Still recovering from knee injury, it only hurts when I go fast down hill but still hurts, and then today on our course, I pushed my foot on some ice to see if it was solid, I don't really know why, I was surprised when it was like slush and broke. Then to catch myself I stuck my foot farther out in pond and it broke ice (actually ice, not slush) and I cut right above my ankle on the ice, and it was cold.
