running 32:49 [3] 6.49 km (5:03 / km)
shoes: Saucony Ride 9

During a family Costco stop I tried to find the oyster bay regional shoreline or whatever it's called, the road that Google maps claimed went through was blocked by train tracks, crossed them and ended up getting all my mileage in industrial truckyard crap

conditioning (pedestal core) 7:00 [1]

running warm up/down 20:48 [2] 3.14 km (6:37 / km)
shoes: Saucony Ride 9

orienteering race 27:20 [4] *** 4.57 km (5:59 / km)
27c shoes: Saucony Ride 9

Stage 4 at Mills College. Fine except for #3 when I got confused halfway that I was going to #2 and had passed it, doubled back, stopped, stood around, realized I just punched 2, lost a good minute and a half. Small bobble on 15. 50-50 in terms of flow/smoothness leaving a control. Legs were kinda tight

running warm up/down 10:51 [1] 1.8 km (6:02 / km)
shoes: Saucony Ride 9

Note

Using QuickRoute to analyze my races I'm realizing I'm losing more time when I make mistakes than I thought. To me this means 2 things - when I don't screw up, I'm pretty fast, and when I do screw up, it takes a while. Gonna spend the next few months figuring out how to deal with this.

Note

Spent the off day in San Fran with Julia, Thomas, Turner, and Martin, put some good miles in walking, fun times

running warm up/down 23:47 [2] 4.05 km (5:52 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

orienteering race 27:47 [4] 4.6 km (6:02 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

Stage 3 at Point Pinole. Tried to push more today. Went well for the most part, but I lost all my time on 10, 12, and 15, when I lost focus, got off, and ended up standing around. Lost ~50s on 10, ~20 on 12, ~55 on 15. Other than that I was running fast and flow was good (mostly), some hesitation here and there tho

Forgot to start my watch AGAIN so only have gps from halfway to #6, up until then I pretty much went straight tho

running warm up/down 24:11 [2] 3.92 km (6:10 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

orienteering race 40 [3] 4.15 km (10 / km)
shoes: inov8 x talon 212

Stage 2 at Morgan Territory. Forgot to start my watch, no gps :( This was okay, but I made some dumb mistakes and hesitated a lot, much standing around. Left the ride too early going to 9 and found 10 first, then saw the forest in the next reentrant past 11 and blew right past 11 (lost ~2 min), then saw another course's go control down the hill from 22, thought it was mine, ran to it, checked the code, whoops
Gonna focus on attackpoints during middle races because I felt like I was sorta just running without a specific plan for a lot of this
Also need to push more, the hills were tiring but overall didn't feel very tired from this. I find it easier to push myself during running races than orienteering, so just something to work on

running warm up/down 11:20 [2] 1.72 km (6:35 / km)

Note

Currently sitting in SeaTac when I should be landing in San Jose for Cal O Week, Alaska and American Airlines totally botched our tickets... got a refund but my new flight lands 20 minutes after my start time :/

running 42:00 [3] 8.81 km (4:46 / km)
shoes: Saucony Ride 9

BEAUTIFUL run on the Delta de Anza trail by my aunt's house in Oakley. I ran while my mom, aunt, and uncle biked with the dogs running alongside. Even the hail was fun. I wanna go to school here so badddd

running 20:16 [3] 4.21 km (4:49 / km)

aaaandd some barefoot laps in the park. My old Sauconys are slightly small, and they're starting to hurt my L foot. It's a combo of my toenail falling off (skier problems) + my toes hitting the end, which I think makes me scrunch my foot up, making the arch tight.

conditioning (core) 7:00 [3]

running 52:00 [3] 10.72 km (4:51 / km)
shoes: Saucony Guide 10

Random running, today was our Polar Bear Relays (an annual just-for-fun mock meet we do) and I was one of the captains of the 6 teams, so I couldn't really dip to do a real run... Anyway, ran the 800 leg of our medley relay, went out way too fast and died hard, think I was around 2:36-38. Then we did rotations of various track events (jumps, turbo jav, 60m hurdles...) took a loooonggg time and then got in a quick 3k run at the end

climbing 1:30:00 [3]

Hit up SBP with Sam and Alex last night, much fun.
