Really not happening today. Felt naff right from the start, no energy at all. Stuck with Max for the first 3, then decided to cut out the 400 jog recovery and just keep it static. This helped but think I was already past the point of no return. Held it together for the next 2 reps in 2:16, but then a massive positive split on the 6th rep was enough for me to call it a day. Not particularly looking forward to the 3k next week but just need to get pumped for it.

Fred and Joe ran a pitiful 1:32 for 600m at the end of their session. I made them aware of my thoughts on the matter and swiftly stated that I could run a 1:29. They eyebrowed me and then it was on. Spiked up, and off I went. Felt super easy, never in doubt, 1:28.8, probs in sub 1:50 800m shape.
