Morton SLR with Tom and Sam. Not too bad considering the drinks consumed last night. Might even go as far as saying it was fun. Moving the milage up next week, how exciting.

Running 10:00 [4] 3.0 km (3:20 / km)

3k Tempo

On the track, just leading the boys round. Kept mileage shoes and tights on in the hope that my legs would feel better once we got the the juicy stuff (this was not the case). Bit more of a slog than I wanted for this pace.

Running 18:35 [4] 4.51 km (4:07 / km)
shoes: Adidas Boston 8

4x800m (2') + 1x400m

Not happening today. Just aiming to hit 5k pace (2:20) for each rep with the main goal to just feel very comfortable and not push it. This was not the case, hit the paces for the first 3 reps then started to fade on the 4th and called it a day on the 5th. Properly windy so maybe should have adjusted the paces to account for that. Just felt a general lack of energy, nothing worrying though, purely early morning vibes. Seeing as I felt flat last Tuesday as well, think it was the right call to pull the plug and go into next week with fresher legs.

Easy innocent railway with Tom. Felt decent, that will be all for today.

Running 30:39 [2] 6.44 km (4:46 / km) +73m 4:30 / km

Standard morning craigmillar loop. Body feeling alright, still got that pesky blood blister.

Running 30:00 [2] 6.71 km (4:28 / km) +57m 4:17 / km
shoes: Adidas Solar Drive

Big lap with Tom and Max. Moist out but surprisingly warm. New creps, cheapest reasonable looking ones on sportshoes, think they'll do the job.

Running 29:27 [2] 6.2 km (4:45 / km) +56m 4:33 / km

Pre-gym big lap. Wearing Max’s old milage shoes which have a decent amount of room in the toe box as blood blister under toenail is still very uncomfortable.

Gym 1:00:00 [0]

Did some maximum testing. Otherwise pretty chill. Good numbers for the groin squeeze, happy days.

Running 29:39 [2] 6.2 km (4:47 / km) +100m 4:26 / km

Post-gym seat lap. Bit of a grind as expected but not too bad. Good to get all of today’s milage done in the morning.

Hounds: 45' Threshold

16'[4' float], 8'[2' float], 2x4'[1' float], 2x2'[30'' float]

Most people wanted to take this chill so started all together in the 15:30 group. 16 felt very chill and comfortable. Thought I'd move the pace up after this for the rest of the session. However, found myself unable to really break 3:10s. Legs started feeling like bricks, so in the end was just happy to get it done. Nothing special, probably just a little bit tired from Saturday. Solid stuff anyway.

16 @ 3:17/km
8 @ 3:10/km
4s @ 3:09 & 3:12/km
2s @ 3:11 & 3:10/km

Running 11:32 [2] 2.15 km (5:22 / km)
