Nice chill one with Ro after a 450mile drive today. Felt surprisingly decent but will probably crash hard in a couple of hours lol. Ro didn’t make it to the top of the climb, RIP.

Relaxed long run. Last run from home, 8-9hour drive up to Oban tomorrow so switched long run to today. Early start this morning (5:45) and drove 3.5hours down from Liverpool after collecting a car from Northern Ireland yesterday. Fuelled on a single Wispa Gold that I ate at 6AM. All things considered I actually felt quite good.

Not insured on the car anymore so couldn’t drive to the usual playing fields so had to do it on the road outside the house. Filthy headwind on half of the reps. Not feeling that great and already starting to grind after the 2nd rep. Happy with my mental strength to get it done although would have preferred this to be a more chill session than it was. Paces very mediocre but still some solid work. Lots of travel over the next 3 days.

5km TT (15:01)

Been wanting to do this for a while but finally got round to it. Did it on Odd Down crit racing circuit, a completely flat 1.5km long cycle racing loop. Pretty ideal for a TT. Little bit windy but conditions overall weren’t too bad. Paced it well, middle km was the slowest (3:04) although had the most headwind. Pushed all the way gave it my all and just fell short of my A goal of sub 15. Still very very happy with this! Felt like I emptied the tank so satisfied. Sadly not an official PB as done off GPS but big loop so likely to be not too far off.

Feel like core has been doing bits for the running form. Still look like a chicken when I run but I now feel like a more stable chicken.

Little shake out round the field. New record low HR (139). Think I’ll struggle to get it any lower than that whilst still calling it a “run”. Just got high and narrow heart rate zones #lockmeup.
