SOL Darnaway.

Nice to be back racing with no pressure in the UK. Set off hard and kept the nav pretty clean for most. A few small misses and dodgy route choices here and there but generally a lot better than my standard orienteering ability. Caught pedley 50mins in with 4 controls to go and managed to mess up 3 of these last 4 controls. Not massively maybe losing just over a minute total but it cost me the dub which is sad. Ah well, I had fun and overall Iā€™m happy with that.

Still not feeling great but wanted to do a session. Kept the pace a little more chill than normal working well with Alex M and Tom C. Feeling a bit dead but got it done and finished faster than I started. Probably a bad idea but will see how my body reacts now.

Sprint O round the coin exchange. Mass start, meant to take it at 50cc but pace slowly moved up to steady. Not ideal as still feeling a bit rough. Still very enjoyable. Rest day tomorrow.

Early morning pentlands from home with a big group of lads. Lovely stuff but waist deep snow drifts and mental wind made going pretty tough up on top. Felt surprisingly good for most.

Blocked throat just feeling grim. My room in the flat is absolutely freezing so waking up in the middle of the night shivering (despite having 2 blankets and top to bottom layers on). That's probably not helping the illness.
