Happy with result, lost 1:30 on control 8, not sure about route choice to 2 as well. Compass smashed apart at control 17, luckily managed to tag along to Alistair Thorton, who conveniently caught me at that point, ran with him for the last 15mins, had no choice really....

Really good run, probably bes this season. 2nd in senior boys race out of 70 rynners, did 3:00 for 1St km, so am feeling really good. Tough hill about 3km really hurt and a fast run down to the first burnt in my calf's. Did a good warm up and down, so should be OK for midland champs tomorrow.....

Everyone went off far too fast, did 3:05 for 1st km. Most people fell back after that, there was 1 guy out front, and I was in a 4 man chase pack, one big steep hill, the rest was flat but muddy and offroad. Finished 5th as I had no energy for a sprint finish, but overall fairly happy...

Felt good, km splits: 3:45, 3:36, 3:43 so the pacing was good. Did it all offroad around rugby pitches. Recovered quickly aswell, want really breathing heavily just 1 minute after workout, confident now I can smash my 17:40 5km PB.

Haven't done hills in quite a long time. Still feeling a bit tired from Sundays race, but gave it a good go. All hills were off-road, weather was nice perfect temperature for running.
