Course 2, nominal 6.3km, 40m
Ribs still sore, so I was a bit tentative off the start and through the park section, but actually I started to feel that I wasn't moving too badly and by halfway I was starting to stride out quite comfortably. The pavements were much more even than yesterday so I was able to hack along at 90% effort in the second half which was cool.
Dithered a bit checking the control no. for #5, Slightly lost concentration out of the underpass from #10 to #11. Dither to #18 to locate the control in the street furniture. Took the shorter but more uneven underfoot route (cobbles, steps) down the riverbank to #19. Overran #23 in the housing estate, stupid. Dithered out of #29 to try to find a non-existent shortcut south. Not sure I had the best route choice for #31 and then wasted time checking the ctrl no. for #33 (I had the idea that it was a tree, so confused when I found it on a fence - the tree was the previous control) after a good run to it; also found a good route for #34 but took my time arsing about on the cobbles getting there.
