Running warm up/down 30:00 [1] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics Dirtdog XC Spike

Total time for workup before every Sprint

Orienteering race 15:00 [5] 2.2 km (6:49 / km)
shoes: Asics Dirtdog XC Spike

First sprint course. I was doing decent times till I overshot #7 big time. Then I overshot #12 and ended up at #13. Since it was my flag I did not even noticed at first that I am missing control. DNF.

Orienteering race 13:35 [5] 2.3 km (5:54 / km)

Second Sprint Race. I did not have any major mistakes except I kind of felt that I was not pushing speed enough. I caught one guy around control #5 and I did not shake him off till last 2 controls. I guess this was speed which allowed me not to have too many major mistakes and I have to accept that this is my skill level for now.

Orienteering 16:21 [5] 3.3 km (4:57 / km)
shoes: Asics Dirtdog XC Spike

Last Sprint. It was very confusing map to be honest (at least for me). There were 3 loops to pick from and I got extremely lucky that I started correct loop. Finished my loop just few yards behind Nate's loop my first loop. I was in lead for my group and I did not have any help maintaining speep at second loop. It did not help that I run into lady woth 3 dogs on my second look who was strugling to contain them. Even second loop was shorter then first I was further behind Nate's group going into 3rd loop. Here is where I made a mistake of trying to catch up with Nate's group by choosing different routes. All I should have done is just try to catch them for rest of the course. Which I failed to do losing more ground on them since I gambled more then them. However it was encouriging to see that Nate was able to stick with leaders of his group.

Running tempo (Morning Run) 15:00 [3] 1.7 mi (8:49 / mi)
shoes: PI syncroGuide

Two loops of Eaglehead, S. Lincoln, Ridgeview. First was to warm up, second was faster or of a tempo pace. Two days of tempering would be too much.

Note

Just before I was leaving for CT I got not so good news about project I have to do in week or so. Pretty much I was thinking about it all the way from Rochester to Stamford. In Syracuse I was almost ready to turn back and cancel weekend of orienteering because and do some work instead. That kind of started my semi-disastrous weekend.

Bill-Steelers. You got to play offense entire game, not just second half.
