Running (few hills) 20:00 [4] 4.0 km (5:00 / km) +300m 3:38 / km

small local loop with 5 hill surges.. felt good

Orienteering race 56:17 [3] **** 7.7 km (7:19 / km) +360m 5:55 / km

Not the best of runs.. miss counted the gullies and picked the wrong first control.. fell off the pack.. I did enjoy running my own race though..

Orienteering race (Aus Long Distance) 2:34:52 [3] 15.8 km (9:48 / km) +640m 8:09 / km

Hmm.. I'm not cut out for this long stuff.. Too non commital on route choice. Also non confident at times.. I caught Dion 12 minutes at #12-13.. lost concentration and dragged him off on a detour near 14.. (oops) ran just ahead of him 16-19 and in each case stuffed up inside the circle, Dion leading me in... bit shaky to 21 then very clean (for me) after that.. all in all fun.. (I think)..

Orienteering race (Aus Champs Sprint) 15:51 [5] *** 3.4 km (4:40 / km) +20m 4:32 / km

Had a good run, a few seconds lost here and there due mostly to not reading the clues. I had sucesses and saved time by memorising 3 or so codes at a time.. Ran through 2 slower runners in the first half.. lost maybe 5 seconds not jumping the handrail after the bridge a few seconds on eastern route choice 21-22. Otherwise clean and happy.. More speed work me thinks..

Orienteering race (NOL (Schools Indiv)) 52:17 [4] *** 8.8 km (5:56 / km)

Happy Happy.. I did make mistakes but over all it was good.. #5-6 (1-2 minute on route choice) was a good example of poor concentration and #16 was a big mistake (1minue20 or soo).. lessons..

Running (Recovery) 20 [3] 3.5 km (6 / km)

Afternoon recover jog around the camp and attached school..

Visited Rottnest Island, After a yummy Hot Choclate, had a lesurily commute out to a beach for lunch.. then on the way back we stopped for a bit of a swim..

Had a very long warm down because I felt I needed it.. was still a little tight in the hip and lower back.. more soo than before.. feels ok today though..
