Orienteering event at Tarn Hows in the Lake District. Messy first two controls, I think it took me a bit to get into the map. Tricky area, hit a path to far to the east on a long leg and got disorientated, interpreted a path junction as one further to the west on the map and ran a long ways before realizing the mistake as I kept being able to make the terrain 'fit' the map. Eventually realized where I was and was WAYYYY off.

Really rainy and quite cold by the end of it--had stiff fingers and toes. Quite an experience! I love the lakes, but my oh my it's a tricky area.

Felt my shins a little bit whilst on the run, was okay if I stayed on soft surfaces.
