Been a while since I last ran in these fields and they've changed a bit, with the estate paving some paths and cutting back on the bush. Competitive field with Brian G, Tim C and Alex P all in attendance.

First few controls very boring around the school grounds, very visible from a distance. Then out into the bushy section. I should have played it safe to #8, instead I had to drop off a seriously high embankment into the control. At 18 I didn't read the map properly and didn't take the most direct route into the control (on the dead-end path!). Brian G mis-punched here. No other mistakes for me, but no speed at all in my legs.

Finished 4th behind Tim, Alex and Connor M.

Back to The Reeds for another Parkrun. Wanted to take it easy due to the knee, but the lungs are also not okay yet following the flu. Was in 3rd, but the guy ahead of me took a wrong split and I lost a few places before realizing. Got back into 2nd place but about 20s down on my PB for this course (also done when recovering from injury). Will have to do it again and improve on it.

Saw Dr M Barrow for the knee. Diagnosed as a bursitis. Exercise not recommended for a while.
