Pelindaba Mountain Marathon - 1:10'000

Had a good race, with good concentration all the way through the course. Small route choice error 16-17 when I didn't drop into the river, instead trying to contour round the side and having to drop in late for the fence crossing point (30s). Saw Alex coming out of 15 (8 mins), and then again from 21 onwards, but only passed him on route choice 24-25.

Finished 1st, about 70s ahead of Eugene (big surprise that he was that close). Felt I had run well and hard, but I think I wasn't as fast as him on the rocky downs. Looks like I only took a decisive lead at 20.

Jolly July Trail Race - 21km

Trail race in Pretoria East on the eastern end of the Magaliesberg. Jeep track all the way, some easier sections and some 4x4 parts. Most of the run in a nature reserve that would be very nice for orienteering.
